Worlds Away
In 1992, after an inspirational trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Worlds Away started out as an import company that revitalized the painted tole look. Within a few years, Worlds Away began to push design boundaries with additions in handcrafted lighting and hand-painted metal furniture. Soon we were employing a distinctive mix including mirrored pieces, statement lighting, occasional furniture, and unique accessories. The collection now incorporates rich textiles, colored lacquer, lucite, grass cloth, and more to put a modern twist on the seamless style. A resurgence of the Hollywood Regency style, as well as Mid-Century modern design, inspired us to create more transitional pieces that could relate to today’s interiors and still hint at the past.
