Viggo Boesen popularized the funkis style that was key to the "Danish Golden Age" of design in the 1930s and 40s. Designed in 1936, the Robin Chair was Boesen's first piece. Smooth and solid with elegant curves, this striking piece won a prestigious design award and cemented Boesen's legacy. The AluRattan™ makes this version ultra-durable, maintenance-free, and able to withstand any weather conditions. AluRattan™ consists of a strong Aluminum frame with woven ArtFibre® making it the choice for 100% maintenance free outdoor use. Powder coated aluminum with woven ArtFibre® seat and back. The material is maintenance free and can withstand all weather conditions. ArtFibre™ is a Swiss made artificial fiber made of dyed and hardwearing polyethylene that is both temperature and UV resistant. ArtFibre™ is flexible and when woven, provides optimal comfort and a structure that is strong and can maintain its shape for years.
