Home Bar Essentials
While it's fun to get dressed up to go out for a cocktail, there is something so luxurious and relaxing about having a beautiful home bar! With a beautiful setting and luxury barware, who needs to go out? We say bring the party to your place! We had our top Design Pros show us the home bars they designed for their clients to help inspire you to create your own luxury home bar.
STEP 1
WHERE TO SIT
First things first, you need a proper place to perch up. Whether a counter or bar height, you need somewhere for yourself and your guests to belly up to. We love having a built in bar as seen here with some beautiful counter or barstools.
We are huge fans of Four Hands barstools and Interlude Home counter stools for some incredible design options. From classical brown leather counter stools to chic cream leather stools, your furniture choice here can really set the tone!
Don't have a built in bar? Not to fret! Make a cozy corner with some occasional chairs and a side table, or a bar height table and stools is an easy design solution.
Another great idea is to build your own bar with an armoire, barcart or bookshelf! We're in love with the Maitland Smith Lacca Venezia bar cabinet for a beautiful addition to any room.
STEP 2
WHAT TO POUR
Now what to pour from and pour into. While your poison of choice is up to you, we can definitely help you with some stylish luxury barware to serve from! For a one two punch, explore beautiful decanters that are as beautiful to display as they are to pour from. We love to have a few decanters, a few pitchers (tall and thin for cocktails and larger for water), and the basic accessories such as an ice bucket, tongs, a wine chiller and wine coaster.
STEP 3
WHAT TO SIP
For glassware, it can be fun to mix and match a few styles for a fun design play. We are huge fans of Fferrone glassware & barware as her stunning designs can be mixed and matched while still feeling like part of the same family. Just be sure to cover your basics. We made a little list to help!

STEP 4
HOW TO PRESENT
The saying goes "we eat with our eyes first", and I'm sure we can apply that to drinking as well. Serve up your beautiful cocktails or glass of vino with panache with a beautiful serving tray to display your fine barman work and accent your bar with a few pieces of decor such as a sculpture or a few candles to set the mood.
We love the playing with fun cocktail napkins as well for some color and whimsy.
